I was at this exhaust contest and competed against all these jap cars.
I used my 60mm INOX exhaust with a free flow test pipe. The car sounds like drag racing tractors.
The winner will be selected via online voting.
There is a poll here:
http://forum.4tuning.ro/showthread.php?t=45662
The "game" is to beat the ricers with their fart cannons.
So....how many of you are willing to register(free) and vote for the PORSCHE ? _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits

The term "jap" is racist. It is not an acceptable abbreviation of Japanese. End of story. _________________ 1987 951 - M193 Version for Japan |

Well, different cultures have different definitions of what is racist language. It is true that this term is not generally acceptable here in Canada, but that doesn't mean it is in and of itself a racist term in the context of other cultures.
This seems like it's a bit of an over-reaction, imposing our cultural sensitivities on the world. _________________ 78 924 NA

Guess it depends on the part of the world you're in. In refering to hondas or something like that, "jap car" or "jap crap" isn't racist to me anyways.
It might be a little sensitive, but I'd say that there are much much much worst things out there to say than "Jap".
No worries Morgen, I've registered and will vote for ya! _________________ [This Space For Rent] |

i have to admit, i have never heard of the term being used as a racial slur before. down here, it pretty much is an acceptable colloquial abbrev of Japanese. Being so close to Japan, i think someone would have raised some concern if it was an issue. _________________ '86 944 |

This is true. Same goes for "ricer." If I were a mod here, the original post would be edited or deleted, and the poster warned.
The real question is, are your stupid slang terms so (flippin freakin frackin) important to hang onto, that you don't care if someone is injured or offended by seeing or hearing them used?
If they are that important to you, you need to learn some empathy. _________________ Toofah King Bad

Rasta,
I think it is accepted here that certain terms have different meanings for different cultures. For example, when i was working in New York years ago, i would think nothing of telling my collegues i was going out for a fag. Now to me, that meant going out for a smoke. To them, it meant something quite different. Or if i said i got really pissed last night, they thought i got mad, whereas i meant i had a few to many beers.
Although i understand the sentiment behind Chrenans original objection, perhaps the tone was a bit strong, considering the cultural differences between the poster and the offended.
What i don't think is acceptable is to start adding language which is universally offensive such as you have deemed acceptable in your post.
One of the things that has always pleased me about this forum is the general standard of posts, and the observance of common decency between posters.
I like to think this is because we are able to use vocabulary beyond "F" /"C"/N" to express ourselves.
Just a thought.
