Hey all, long time no post! I've been keeping pretty busy working in Mexico and haven't been too into the 924 scene...

I just took a 2300 mile road trip from Arizona to Vancouver in a '89 MR2 with an engine swap, it was fun. That's to be my daily driver while my 924 goes under the knife, as it were.

A few updates, I swung by 20th Street Auto in Phoenix and arranged a few things, I should be getting a 968 3.0 and a mostly complete '86 951 for my running gear... I picked up some nice BBS RS wheels, they'll be on my car shortly and I'll post pics.

I have about 500 photos to post from my road trip, just need to transfer them back. Here's a couple I have hosted already.

Here's the car with teh engine swap just completed. It's a '95 4A-GE "Silvertop" with ITBs and header, running the ECU from a later model so it has no AFM, a MAP sensor instead. 8750rpm redline and it makes around 180hp as is. The car is a '89 MR2 coupe, nice and light\stiff.

I'll resize and post more photos when I have time

Only got pulled over once! Previous owner tried to rattlecan it over original paint without scuffing or cleaning it first. That grey stuff is coming off everywhere easily

It's actually a really nice light blue underneath. This is a tiny picture, but that's what it SHOULD look like soon.

The plan as is, and may be modified once I have everything apart, to chop out the sections of the 944 body that the crossmember bolts to and weld them onto the 924 body with the engine in the car, bolted to the crossmember. I'll then be running the '86 951 front end in entirety with teh 968 engine/bellhousing and my G31.

I haven't worked out what I'll do about the pilot bearing yet, engine will be controlled by MS2 for now mostly likely, and if I really get into it better standalone management later.

I think the Audi 5 cylinder swap is a much easier way to go. Consider that as the easiest and probably cheapest option

heh, but the time your ready for this thing to run, you may have issues finding anything 'better'. The new MS2 code thats in development is pretty fricken awesome. Hopefully I'll be running it by the end of this month.
