I picked up a nice 77 924 n/a the other day. Rock solid engine and drivetrain. Interior is fantastic, but the body is swiss cheese. Cancer everywhere (can't bitch, only $200). Anyone got an idea where i can get a good body close to Hawaii?
Thanks,
Lee

HI

Funny. I had a rust hole in the same place - high up on the passenger side. As my windscreen is cracked, I was bothered about protecting the glass when welding a patch in there. Feel free to drop an email if you want (badenkb@hotmail.com)

Cheers

Some of the early 924s did not have completely galvanized body. It was not until 1980 or so that they were completely protected. This is not to say that they will not rust just that they are much less likely. If there was some damage to the car that was not properly repaired it will certainly rust.

I'll give you a free body if you don't mind paying for shipping.

How about a shipping crate full a Porsche parts and we split the profits after shipping costs
