If you are unable to get a gasket for your car it is an easy process to make your own.
I'll show you how. Buy some gasket paper.
I needed a gasket for my daughters car for her thermostat.
Put it in a vice, cut a piece of paper the right size and lay on top.
Do the holes first.
Put the bolts in the holes to hold it in place for the next step. Tap around the outside to cut the outline.
Do the same for the inside.
Finished.
Now only got to clean up the housing, put on some gasket goo and refit. _________________ Porsche 924 1984 (UK import) NA

I find the best way to get these kind of paper gaskets to seal well - like on the intake, or the waterpump, etc - is not using gasket sealer. What I do now is to soak the gasket, by hand, in oil- just rub it all over. It gets the material to swell up a little and seal well, but not in a messy way, and it's easy to remove later with little clean-up. Use it all the time on the racecar, love it! _________________ Vaughan Scott
