When I bought my 931 she had 944 S2 wheels. Well she still has them

The wheels are:
- 6J16 ET 52.3 on front
- 8J16 ET 52.3 on rear

Car looks like that:

I have also a spare set of 993 Cup 2 rims:
- 7.5J17 ET23 on front
- 9J17 ET15 on rear

Car looks like that:

Don't remember the exact tire sizes, but fronts are 205 wide and rears are 215 for S2 and 235 for Cup 2.

The only thing is with Cup 2 and this ET the wheels are a bit wider than car body.

Rear with 9J17 ET15:

Front with 7.5J17 ET23 looks better, but not perfect though:

But when I moved 7.5J17 ET23 to rear, it seems to be the perfect place for then

If you compare that with S2 8J16 ET52.3:

It fits damn good to me

Front S2 6J16 ET52.3:

I can get in a good price a set of 4x Cup 2 7J17 ET55 and use 2 of them for the fronts on 931 and really considering these, as this shape of the wheels fits the body in my opinion. No sharp edges.

I was thinking in repainting these to something like that (borrowed from rennlist):

What do you think?

With my wheel alignment the 8x16 fits very well all around, i will put up some pics later. Which means i have 4 6x16 d90 available , if anyone needs them..

But these wheels are heavy and large, my 15''gives better agility and acceleration, thats what i will run on the street.

Those cups looks very tidy! Though in my opinion lookwpa bit too modern on a 931,nice color scheme tough.

Well I have also a set of these wheels

The only thing is I still did not decide which way I want to go with my 931.
I decided to get rid of DITC already, so it's no longer 100% stock, but close to.
I could fit the Cup 2 wheels and these could accommodate much bigger brakes.
Or I could install stock 15 inch Spiderwebs, but not sure what to do. To many options
Either way, getting back to stock is straightforward.

Time for update. Due to lack of time I decided I will not paint my Cup 2 wheels, but just install them as were - scratches here and there. Anyway I am happy with the look. These are 7J17 all 4 corners (genuine Porsche ones). I have also some others Italian made Cup 2 that are 8J17 and 9J17. Just thinking if will not put either spacers or 8J17 on the back. Not sure yet.

I don’t have much of a contribution to this thread but I flipped through all 18 pages and didn’t see any white on white phone dials. These are 15x7 ET52 wrapped in 195/65/R15 tires in all corners. They are powder coated but have a lot of wear and tear. Luckily for me they match the patina of the car. I will also post a picture of the original wheels which used the exact same tires (I moved them over) which were 15x6 ET52 phone dials with a mediocre rattle can paint.

Pre S logo

Post S logo, also Eddy photo bombing with the 16” dials.

Lastly the rough 15x6 dials with equally as rough pin stripes!

Yes thank you, thats defenitly it. After some research it seems to be the MSW OZ type 1934S. Now actually finding them for sale is going to be a problem.

As I'm not a fan of the 8 spoke "tarantulas", I've been looking at other wheels... specifically the Vision Nitro 521 in 15x7 (+20 offset/4.75 b-spacing). It's the closest I've found to the "cookie cutter" look in a 4x108 wheel. Has anyone else run these on their 924? (And yes, I realize the pic is a 5 lug, but they do make it in a 4x108.)
