I don't have any problems I saw many 931's with 16" (6/7") wheels on them and even 924's with 205 and 225 tires. I choose this wheels because I saw one 931S1 here with Boxster S model (7" an 8,5" booth 17" and they fit)... than I found cheap this 996 wheels for sale so I wanted to try them)... I don't like that CC I had before... I made right now about 40km on that 17" without any problems at all. Car run ok on corners and in straight way. It runs good and fast like before Only thing was that I had to add spacers at rear (original 21mm was missing somewhere in previous owners - I think that one who put that Cookie Cutters on this car, which don't fit too good (especially front was little to much out from front fenders).
If it is important I think it could...
I have stock springs in front with yellow regulated Koni. and Bilstein B6 on rear.
951 26,8mm front sway-bar and stock 931 rear. I have standard brakes
Everything works and looks great I think that 17" wheels are best for 931 or that Boxster S... _________________ 931 82' - 5000km after full engine rebuild

I used to don't have power steering in 924's so it's not a problem. Actually I saw many 924's with 205 or even 215 on fron without power stering and all was fine Maybe for womans could be to heavy... but for most men's is ok. _________________ 931 82' - 5000km after full engine rebuild

This is actually a 931 not 951, just has a body kit on. It has the original 951 D90s on with 205/225 combination looks great and steering isnt any heavier than standard after all the only difference is standard is 205 all round so only the rear tires are wider. _________________ Life is about living, we all leave soon enough. |

Hi, new to the forum and 924 ownership.
Currently tidying the car up for compliance, put some motoform 16x8's on. Chrome doesn't look great on red in my opinion so they will get powder coated a dark colour when I panel and paint the whole car.
Thanks

Cookie cutters with 215/60R15 Michellen Pilot Sports. I believe they are the 53mm offset and 7 inches wide. Sticks out in the front quite a ways with about -0.5 degrees of camber. After running them for a couple hundred miles the fender lips have chewed up the tread on the outside of the tire a bit. _________________ 1978 924 -parts car
