Can someone point me in the right direction here? I'm a noob to 924board.org and I need some help. I recently purchased a 87' 924S and the Odometer is stuck.

I've heard that the odometer will stop working when you reset the trip while moving . I find this strange but true . So now I need to fix it.

How and where do I start?

I appreciate your help guys as I know you'll help direct me.

In addition to the plastic gear, I had to deal with the metal wheel that's buried deeper in, on the same shaft.
...a little more detail on it here -

The drill-running-in-reverse-trick mentioned there can be used to test it before reinstalling in the car.

Smoothie. You're a gentleman and a scholar. Thank you very very much. Sounds like I'm not the only one conquering this problem.

If anyone has any additional tips, please let me know!

I picked up some bulbs at my local Canadian Tire. Since we don't know where you're from (updating your location in your profile helps) I don't know how useful that is. Any automotive store should have them though; the bulbs are common.

Sorry I can't help you on the gears though. I repaired mine myself.
