Is the price a good deal?
Yes, more than fair.

Yes, with the work done and the condition it's fair.

Yes, it's in the normal range.

Sort of, it all comes down to how the car drives.

Not really 3k is a little steep, no matter what work has been done or the condition of it.

No, 3k is too much, someone will buy a clunker for $500 and put $2,000 into it and drive it.

Beats me, I just like looking at it.

I'm going to sell my car in the Spring and thought I'd let you folks know.

VIN# 9247102149

It's a 1977 924 Euro with 125,000 kms {I'm quite sure that's the real number} but it may be higher as I can't show docs proving the number.

In the last 5,000 kms {3,000 miles} I've installed the following:
water pump
timing belt
plugs
wires
cap
oil filter
fuel filter
air filter
oil change
coolant flush
diff. and trans. fluid change
wiring for the fan, lights and ground for the horn.
wheel bearings inner and outer on all corners
front rotors
front pads
rear pads
rear shoes
rear wheel cylinders
both front turn signal assemblies
clutch
exhaust
cv boot kits on the rear {4 kits}]
rear hatch seal
rear hatch struts
camshaft

And I have spare brake pads for the front and back, a pair of front calipers, headlight motor, odds and ends, door panels with handles and pockets, cd deck and odds and ends like rear hatch pieces for water drainage.

The oil has been changed every winter and twice in the middle of the summer.

The body was put on in 1989 and in my opinion the quality is very good and has held up very well.

I've put on about 5,000 kms {3,000 miles} in the last four years and stored it during the winter seasons.

The little niggly 924 issues poped up like wiring, fuse boxes, ground wires etc and have been solved.

The car is solid and I can either install the new tires I bought {with a spare for the rear} or you can use the tires currently on the car with decent tread left. It passed it's safety inspection this spring with no issues.

Shipping shouldn't be a problem since it's fairly cheap to do in North America and I might even be able to get a price break. I'm a hop from Maine and once I get it there, shipping will be dirt cheap to the US. Likewise for Canadians.

These pictures are from last summer but the car hasn't changed at all since then. {Some of the pictures are quite glossy and show a lot of reflection, so I'll snap better picture later this week.}

The asking price will be around $3,000 for board members and $5,000 for local sales in the Spring. Other 924's in my city sell for 6 grand in need of repair, so I like both prices.

Lizard asked me not to part it out and he made sense, so here's the deal to board members that he sugested and the real world price that will be in effect for the Spring.

PM me for more details and offers. I would LOVE to sell the car to a board member.

Neil

The car is for sale now but going into the fall isn't the best time to sell a car like this so, I'll wait for spring before I list it in the local papers and autotrader. It's online here and flat-6.net as an ad because I've been on both boards and people know the car.

P.S Test drives welcome!

F#$% @^&* *#&$^!!!

I probably have more than that in my car, and not even cloooose to the condition of yours. The price is definitely worth it. I'd buy it right now, but I wouldn't have any money left for a Flight to Nova Scotia or the gas to drive it back. Geezzzz...

Price is very fair, though!!!

The car looks great and is well worth it. What motor does it have and what's been done to it?

The motor has the XK number stamped on it AKA Euro/ ROW and I just put in a new cam and followers. The cam is a stage 1 from Integral and the basic run down is, it looks just like a stock cam but a little more grunt and it doesn't have any special needs, just a straigt swap. Other than that, just regular service like the belts, plugs, wires, oil changes etc.

I'm selling it because I'm done with it. I'm looking for a newer car to play with and the 924 is at it's finest and most road ready state, so now's the time to send it to a new owner.

If I wasn't so busy we could go for a spin but I'm stuck at work looking for money to appear from nothing.

I'm assuming the euro spec means everything is measure using metric, does the euro have more compression?

How's the A/C if there is one?
