its totally normal, proberly a worn oil pump not being able to keep up. you dont need to worry about the oil light until it stays lit constantly

When you take sharp turns all the oil rushes against one side of the engine so it isn't being recirculated from the bottom at full capacity...you lose pressure slightly, the light comes on. Car levels out, oil is being drawn from a mostly level body of oil, pressure normal, light off.

Kind of the same thing with your gas tank, ever take a hard right hand turn with less than 1/3rd of a tank and see the needle run into the left side of the gauge and the light come on?

When the light comes on in the turns I tell people that it is my g meter and I am pulling my max skidpad abilities.

the light should not actually come on during any hard cornering, if it does something is wrong, if you are accelerating through a hard turn and loose oil pressure that is what will cause a rod bearing to spin, there goes the rod, and the crank will have to at the very least need to be machined

That shouldn't happen on the street, IMO.

What does your oil pressure gauge say at the time? If it's also reading low (1 bar or less), I'd be concerned about actually having an oil pressure problem.

But if it's not (the oil light should come on only when pressure is below 1 bar), I'd suspect a wiring problem - could easily be an exposed sender wire grounding out. Check your wiring.

Ditto. What Vaughan said.

It's not normal and you should fix it.

The oil bar doesn't really change. It is just a jerk of the wheel and the oil sloshes to one side then levels out. Having experienced I don't think you should worry about it too much.

If this is an actual momentary oil pressure loss, a Porsche Master Technician once told me that keeping the oil level approx. 1/4" above the full mark when autocrossing, tracking, etc. will prevent this from happening. Can lead to excessive cam wear among other things mentioned previously.
