I've got a 1987 924S, and since my right knee can only bend one way, I'd like to swap out the steering wheel with something smaller.

Has anyone used the Momo hub adapter (MO-8013), and a Momo steering wheel? I was thinking about the Team wheel, since it seems to have the smallest diameter. Has anyone had any luck with these?

Or, has anyone else swapped the wheel out with a different one altogether?

Thanks in advance.

Hey there, just wanted to put another thought in your head. The factory eventually recognized the problem with kneeroom and had an optional spacer that brought the wheel closer to the driver, creating more legroom. No, sorry, don't know the part #, but wanted to suggest that, in your efforts, you also think about doing the same.

I have a Momo wheel, Monte Carlo or Corse, forget which, in my racecar, and did the same on installation. Of course, that means I'm not using any of the spacers you're referring to - I have a custom fabricated adapter that attaches the Momo wheel to a quick-release hub, with its mounting hex welded to an extension, itself welded to the steering column.

HTH...

Vaughan, where would one get said spacer? That sounds perfect for me. Maybe my arms are short for my legs or something...or I just like like to have the seatback raked back.

Bought a brand new Momo Corsa for 225 plus shipping.
Blew engine need money to fix it. I will sell
this new wheel in the original box for $150.
My 944 has a extended wheel and it is okay. I am small at 5ft. 7 and this wheel is a little too high for me although the knee does not hit. Both wheels are fine if you want to avoid hitting your leg. Finding a extended wheel might be a problem.
