had my 924 for 2 years before i converted it to Carrera GT looks and performance.
i would have not done it if it werent for my buddies who got supercharged VWs and all sorts of other fast stuff....i was happy with its performance...and the fact that it could go just about anywhere..now its strictly a good roads touring car.

I bought mine in January of 2006, so almost 4 years ago. It then spent 2+ weeks in the shop getting various maintenance things taken care of to make it roadworthy, and the first time I drove it was the first time I took my girlfriend out on a date.

I'm still with her and still have the car, so I'm starting to wonder if keeping them is some sort of package deal haha

I have had my 81 Weissach for about 3 months now. It was bought from I think Eturbo to C Peebles, then to a guy in Brazil, IN. I got it from him not running. I am in the process of changing the CIS to twin webbers. I need to fix a few things like the shifter bushings, drains, stereo, drvers door lock, and some interior pcs that are ruined from the sunroof drains leaking in the car. I think this 924 will be a great car for my son to start out driving when he tunrs 16 in 2 1/2 years.

Well I'm still on my first one. I'm bound to keep it till the end. Doubt I'll get rid of it unless it blows up.

Why sell when you can buy:) Bought my 924 as my first car in 2003, its still here. In 06 i bought a 931 which came out on the roads this year, so the 924 is passed over to my dad which have driven track days with me since i bought it. Now we are a 2 car team at the track days instead

'83 924 na lux was with me 3 years and 3 house changes before it was written off by a merc driver on his way home from the golf club,
'76 na martini edition replica was with me 3 years as well only sold as lost garage
'85 944 was a total piece O S, was the worst ebay buy ever, ripped off as the guy who sold it got his uncle to give it an mot even tho emissions were off the scale and fuel lines leaked, bottom bearings were gone as were piston rings..... it lasted 6 months before i realised it was beyond my scope
'82 924 na is a parts car and is still up at family home, thanks mummy.
'80 924 na maroon "Ron Burgandy" special edition is well on its way to road worthiness again thanks to the help i have received from here.

oh and slightly OT

next is my first turbo hopefully a cheapo one needing bodywork as i want to build a carrera gt.... that is as soon as someone buys my MR2 GT ....... its 89k with a full rebuild new alt, rad, battery, full leather, clear lenses and light upgrade, toms scoop, t bar, 17" lightweight wheels 7"dvd in dash player. and a full grooved vented and drilled disc brake conversion with reconditioned calipers, circa 180hp on the rolling road........ any offers?

I still own it. And the next one. And the next one. And the next...

I've had my 944 for about 15 years now. It outlasted many girlfriends...

The very first car my wife bought entirely for herself/by herself is the 77.5 auto she got about 4 years ago and gave to her mom. Still running strong.

Bought a silver 76 NA in 1981 with 20,000 on the odometer and drove it an additional 125,000 miles and sold it (still running and looking great) in 1999.

I bought my 1987 924S in around 2010. I enjoyed the car for the time I had it and the little I drove it. I probably bought it for way more that I should have back then and put a lot more into it. I did a little work on it, had some work done on it and collected a large amount of parts. I finally gave up and sold the car in 2013 along with everything I had with it for next to nothing. The car went onto someone with a good body/mechanical background that I met through a coworker. I still hear about the car every now an then and the new owner is still enjoying it.

I had bought a 2001 Boxster in 2012 for what I consider a good price . The Boxster runs great, has no mechanical issues (the roof leaks and needs replacing), but other than that it has been a great car.

Then, last month I bought a 1972 Karmann Ghia. I worry I am in the 924 loop where I paid too much, need to put more into it etc...but I love the Ghia!

I enjoyed the 924 board and all the members that helped out during my time with the car. I am now on the Sumba board...
