Bought my first one new in 1977, sold a year later so that I could qualify for the mortgage on our first house. _________________ White 87 924S "Ghost"

Bought my first in 1985 (80 NA) and sold it in 2002. Most of that time it was my daily driver so it had more than 300K miles on it. Thought it needed a little rest so I bought a 928 for a daily driver. The 924 was sold in 2003 and is still somewhere (hopefully still in use) in the Tulsa area.

I've had my 924 for 4 years now and I upgraded to a 540 so I could slide through turns and crack the throttle. |

Bought a '79 NA, drove it awhile, fixed and repaired a ton of things, then sold it a year later for nearly the same as I paid for it. _________________ Ryan Moone

My Father bought mine in October of 1981... passed to me when I was 16.5 years old. I have had it ever since.
He then had a 1984 Carrera, 1987 928S4, 1989 Carrera 4.
I have had 1983 944... dearly departed... and many parts of her are now in the hands and on the cars of guys on this board.
Had a 1980 924 for about 1.5 years and had to sell it due to financial reasons.
and .. I just picked up a 1977 924. Had to save her from the crusher. Man... she needs a lot of work though. I guess my 1980 also did. Replaced the engine torque tube and transmission on the 1980... this one can't be that much work... I hope!
Anyway have had my 1982 since new... basically. So 24 years! Yikes _________________ 1982 924

I don't have a bank account Paul. When I bought the BMW I had to sign all of my accounts over to BMW AG. Somthing about it's easier for BMW to draw money from these accounts electronically, rather me going to the bank every 5 minutes.
I hear 747's are cheaper to own compared to BMW's, I think I'll downgrade to a jumbo jet. I'll save money on fuel too. |

I bought mine (first and only, so far) in 2001. She's still going strong. No plans to sell it... yet. _________________ '80 924 Turbo |

Bought in 1977
I still own it.
It is my track car and I have said it many times I like it better than my 931 Euro and the 87 911. _________________ "Never let them see you sweat"

I bought mine in 2004. I havent had it long enough to even think about selling it. With all of the work I am doing to it now, I most likely wont be selling it anytime soon. In fact, I havent even driven it yet. It should be on the road anytime in the next month, and i assure you, i will put pics up if anyone is interested. _________________ early 77 924 na

Bought the 924 in 05'. Still have it.
I also have a 944, and more recently a 931 so the 924 will be sold off once the 931 is running (hopefully by the end of this summer).
The 924 is a fun little car, but it isn't a car I would want to keep. Mine is far from showroom condition, but the 924 just doesn't have enough power to make me want to keep it.
Hopefully the 931 will have the extra power, with the same underpinnings. _________________ 1986 944 | 1978 924 (FS) | 1982 931 | 1980 931 |
