If anyone has been able to mount 8" rear wheels on a 924S without rolling the fenders or anything, what tires were you using that worked?

I seem to recall fitting up rims from a 944 Turbo S (89) to my 924 in the rear, but it was just too much. Fenders were not rolled. I think that was the clearance issue, can't remember if they were 8 or 8.5", but they were the original forged alloys for the Turbo S.
OTOH, there's even a picture in the Tech Section (under wheels or brakes) of much later wide wheels under a 924...

I've installed Carrera 2 seven spoke rims, and I believe they are 8" in the back and 7" in the front. I have P225-50-16's in the back and they are winter tires that came with the rims. |

I have 8" wheels all around. The front is pretty close, but there is room at the back. I'll check the offset for them. |

I'm running 16" Turbo phone dials with 245-45-16 all the way around. I'm not sure if there is another 8" rim with a different offset that might work. To prevent rubbing in the front and the rear I have installed '88 944S2 fenders, '87 944 Turbo bumper, the gt racing Turbo rockers and 924 GT flares. I did roll the rear fenders when I installed the GT racing flares so that the tires wouldn't rub.
