I just got my 1988 924s a few weeks ago This is my first Porsche. I noticed that the dash lights seem dim. I have the switch turned all the way up. I'm curious as if this is normal or possibly a switch that's not doing it's job to the max anymore. Anyone have any feedback?

From what I head this is pretty normal. Over time the reflective paint around the lights wears away so it doesn't seem as bring. Another cause might also be a bad ground wire. |

They are also designed to European standards, where the intent is to have them bright enough to notice at night, but not bright enough to be obtrusive. As a safety item, you should have them as dim as possible that you can actually read them at a glance - anything more takes away from your night vision.
American cars by comparison have lights almost bright enough to read by!
You might also consider changing over to white faces - might make things more legible and brighter for you. I've wanted to do that myself for a while, but it's not in the budget. Gotta buy race shocks first!
