Hey everybody, I posted a thread similar to this on Rennlist, but haven't gotten very many replies (the 924 forum there seems kindof dead).

I was wondering, is there a 924 picture post with tons of pics anywhere on this board? I did do a search, and found smatterings of pictures in a few threads, but nothing with hundreds of pictures of cool 924's or anything.

Though my first and most passionate love is for Porsches, I am also a VW enthusiast - and have about 2,500 pictures of Volkswagens and Audis that I've found over the years saved on my computer and online. I figure there's got to be somebody out there like me, but with a 924 lean...

My motivation for posting this, is that I distinctly remember seeing a picture online once, of a 924 that was dropped and styled in the "German-look" - that is, it had wide wheels with some poke and small tires with a bit of stretch.

Anyways, here's a picture of a nice little GTI, which also demonstrates the look I am referring to. Cheers!

go to http://images.google.com/ and key in "porsche 924' when I did it google returned "Results 1 - 20 of about 11,600 for porsche 924"

One of these lifetimes when I get around to getting a new server for 924board I plan to offer free image space to the board members to store their pics.

Nice looking GTI.

Thanks for the tips guys. I've done the Google thing, but so many of the results are just plain-jane 924's. I want to see some 924's that have had their potential fulfilled, you know? Downloaded the zip, we'll see what's in there.

I wish I could take credit for the GTI, it isn't mine. It was a recent addition to my collection of pics, and I thought it exemplified the look I was asking about pretty well.

Hey guys, I decided to use one of the pictures in that zip file to make (pretty much) what my own German-look 924 might look like. Here it is:

Wow Look how low the bottoms of the trailing arm where the shock mounts on the orange photoshop. Did you make that orange image? I love how you added the deeper dish to the wheels even, that looks like it took some skill in photoshop.

Pretty cool looking picture. It'd be cool to have a 924 that low, but I bet it would be awful dangerous.

My race car is about that low, its a pain as it doe bottom out alot, but handles like no other,

plus 924 always look 100000% better lowered

Yeah, I made that orange chop - it did take a couple hours of work to get it just right (my artist's eye says it still isn't though ). This was my first attempt at "widening" wheels. Not too bad I guess, but definitely the most labor intensive part of the job. It'd probably have been alot easier if the original wheels had more than 1mm of lip.

Khal, I lurrrrrrve your car...
