All,
My 931 has had a erratic idle for several months now that I have not been able to diagnose. It runs fine for 5-10 seconds, then it stutters for a few seconds. It does this every time it is run. Today I found that I was leaking gas from the in-tank fuel pump. After draining the full tank and removing the pump, I hooked it up to a 12volt source out of curiosity and it didn't do anything.
Shouldn't it hum or buz or something?
Also, could that be the cause of my problem?
I know the other pump is fine because I can hear it.

hey there,
how to check the in tank pump.
when you connect it there shuld be a little noise and air pressure should be felt in the outgoing end- be sure not to connect it in free air for too long!!

Good luck
