Porsche sells both cams. What's the difference? Anyone know?

according to the FAQ the 924, 931 and Carrera GT all use the same cam.
The GTR and GTS cam is apparently different but no one seems to know in what way. |

From what I've read, the Carrera GT cam is the same as the 924 and 931. I think the GTR and GTS are different though. Anyone care to pop the cover off your GTS or GTR and let us know the specs?
One major exception is the '77 924 cam which is a different grind altogether. You don't want it! It has much less lift.

If you want to get rid of some lag in the engine but don't want to loose any power go for a webcam stage 1. I studied cams well enough to know that the stage 1 will not do any effects in a negative way... It's so close to stock in comparision with wilder grind cams, but once you put this cam in, you will see and feel the difference...

P.S. There are even better grinds that a Non-Turbo can use... Turbo's may only want to go a little bit higher than a stage 1 if they want some good HP...e |

The GT and standard cams are the same grind. According to the some info I got with my GT the only difference was in the hardening treatment on the lobes. |
