Hi everyone, new at this forum. I heva a question for the 931 genious. I want to change the air filter box, with one of those cone air filter, but I´m worry about the charcoal canister and the other hose that goes into the box. The emmisions are not a problem in Argentina, but I don´t want dangerous gases n under my hood. The question is, may I just take all the hoses, and charcoal can out? Is there any danger?

At very least you will want to cap off the gas tank vent hose, and reroute the crankcase breather hose to the intake (or add a breather filter). However a cone filter is not a performance improvement for these cars. Turning up the boost is. Read the Tech Section (above). It's a waste of money - these cars are not Hondas. Porsche designed the air filter properly the first time. All you'll end up doing is sucking in hot air, cutting your power. Honda (etc) air filters and air filter housings are designed to redue noise. Porsche air filter housings are designed for max power from day one

What is the possibility of adding an intercooler prior to the turbo? Wait nevermind, ambient at the intake would still be ambient hitting the turbo, but still hot after exiting the turbo. So an intercooler must be used after to reduce the heated air. Thanks for the help!! Ok, what if we put a cold air intake that plumbs the filter down to the drivers side of the car similiar to where the oil cooler sits on the passenger side. This I think would look better than the stock unit, maybe not a performance gain but in my opinion would clean up the engine compartment.
