does anyone know what happens if you mix half 110 and half 91. does the overall octane rating go up, or would the engine just be running on 91 some of the time and 110 the rest of the time. |

What happens is they will mix and make like 98 octane or something. Why would you run 110 octane???

only use high octane stuff if you need it
Higher octane gas doesn't make more HP if you don't need it, it's similar to intercooling...you only want to intercool if you want to raise the boost too..it won't help enough just using the intercooler and not increasing boost (it helps reliabilty yes).
High octane gas requires u up the compression in order for it to help..or if u have a turbo it will help when u up the boost and can't go any more. |

well, in my NA i have higher compression and i'm interested in more advanced timing and of course my turbo is turbocharged. and i was also just curious and didn't feel like tracking down my old chemisty proffesor. |
