I am putting a 944 suspension on my 924NA and want to get some opinions on springs and bushings. My car will be mostly autocrossed and eventually club races with little around-town driving. I have to keep costs down this round, but I want some improvement over standard OEM bushings and springs.

I have a set of new Konis, and the rest is stock from an '83 944. I was considering 250lb front springs, lowered 1", and graphite bushings in the front lower joints and sway bar mounts. Is there any item I can focus on that will significantly affect handling?

BTW, I will have the stock front and rear sway bars and torsion tubes and my tires and wheels are good.

Yes, start with the springs up front and shocks. You will also find that adjusting air pressure between front and rear will give you moderate change in handling characteristics in those tight turns.

If this is your first changes to the suspension you will drop your jaw at the difference just in this...

enjoy and keep us posted!
