Peter - I just had an idea on a new feature, if it's possible. Could we perhaps add a search feature on user location? Obviously this would require people would actually fill it out, but I think it'd be nice to be able to see who is in your area - at least state/province or country...

I'll think about the search and you can think about how to get people to put their location in their profile.

actually you can browse members location in an indexed form in the memberslist page, and from there it looks like having people to fill out location info properly will be the bigger task

Well we can be free and let things go or tighten some requirements on the forum.

I think we all take this place very seriously and have nothing to hide. So I have to assume that a new person is either lazy or trying to hide something when sgning up. To elimnate the lazy part we should just make some, if not all the fields a requirement to register as a member.

You might see some drop off in enrollment, but the benefits outweigh the negatives.

It's not really a critical thing, I think compliance should be optional, really...
