Any one ever thought of using an Sp-250 Dart V8 in a 924?

In stock trim they put out about 150BHP and plenty of torque, but the drag racing boys get silly power out of them with blowers and funky fuel. Wouldn't recommend that for road use, but i talked to a guy not long ago who ran 600+ BHP on the stock bottom end! So a 'gently blown' one, say 250-300Bhp should survive long enough to make it a useful road car. Any thoughts?

One more good point about the sp-250 lump. Not even the purists could really complain at the thought of a Jag/Daimler powered porsche could they? plus the badge would get people wondering as they sat at the lights!

Porsche -powered by Daimler

nice!
