i could make it work for the rest of the site - I think its a design that works well with the site. I might suggest using a different image in the upper right corner - but that would be my only critism if I had to offer it.
nice work - when do you want me to start?
send me the PSD (or at least unompressed images) and I'll get crackin' on a mock up. _________________ 924.org (no time to complete)

Is it possible to kick that design in the colors of za German flag? I like the payout and the format but I think that would be a beter color scheme.
Kinda like those PUB racing guys have their logo. Very ingenious. _________________ MJ

Kinda like those PUB racing guys have their logo. Very ingenious. | I like the idea of tieing it to heritage, but I wonder if the german red, gold and black might be too dark. Plus red and black greatly contrast with each other and sometimes can be very distracting.
i.e.:
http://personal.tmlp.com/Augerpk/
http://www.wyomingwebdesign.com/files/templates/com/red_black/
http://www.wyomingwebdesign.com/files/templates/com/red_black2/
but thats IMHO.
I think these colors are good - seems they are based (losely) on the 924 Martini colors.
Where is the PUB Racing logo you like? _________________ 924.org (no time to complete)

Another black format that I think works nicely.
http://hotrodders.com/forums/
Could we do yellow lettering and like use red to accent, like the blocks or something?
I'm just tossing out ideas here.
Actually there are a lot of things about the above mentioned BBS that I like...spell check, websters dictionary, and the way that things are divided. They also require a new user to have at least 50 posts in the technical forums before they have full access to the site. _________________ MJ

Ok im gonna do a new version of the design with some more black and red a few other things that you guys have mentioned.
I also have some ideas for a bigger picture for the site... database driven backend based around work that can be done to our cars. Each job would include a variety of parts with pictures and PET numbers, skills and tools required and process for each job. People could edit the jobs to add their own advice and tips as well as create new jobs in the database.
Jobs would also have a list of failure symptoms and keywords so people with their cars off the road can look up exactly what parts they need to order and what they need to do.
I have a working version of the system on my machine at home, ill endevour to get it online soon. _________________ 1979 931 with a 350 chev

Let's all ante up some cash and buy a huge disk drive for the server so it can host our pictures! |

Yes you can use another service to host a photo and can link that photo to your post but what Paul is refering to is giving our site the ability to host the photo so that it is just a matter of uploading it to the server directly. _________________ MJ

Yes a step up.
I like the D-Prod pics.
Don't care for the caps in the header.
I like the Fuchs.
Would like to see the colors be more defined like the red match the red car, and the yellow too.
If I am being to critical tell me to shut up coz it is 1000 times better than I could do.
Thank you for your efforts. _________________ MJ

I was thinking about a quick reference page with clickable links for the common questions. The page would have the question as the link and the first words in the link would be the "key words".
ie:
Fuel pump making noise?
^^^ But it shows the known issues and fixes, instead of the back and fourth we would have to scroll through.
There's no point in having a link like the one below...
There's a noise coming from the
... because you have to click each link to see what it's about and you can't put them in order from A-Z. There would be a seperate page for "Body Repair" and "Wheels" etc.... |
