From day one I have been plagued with the evil red oil-blinking eye.
From day one I've read replace the oil pump spring.
The problem I had was the part # on 924 tech did not work.
I have the right numbers and the parts, its installed and wow!
It is by far the best and easiest improvement I’ve made.
My pressure is far better and I feel it all the way around from idle to high rpms.
I think the compression is better also.Don't hesitate.
Here are the part numbers
Seal ring N 0438152
Spring 068115421
Piston 056115411A
You can see in the picture the different lengths in the old and new spring.
This is how I think it works.
At high pressure the spring is compressed and opens additional ports.
At idle the spring piston seals a port and keeps the pressure up.
If your spring is weak or compressed like mine, this low idle port never seals and the red eye lets you know.
Good luck, it made me happy I hope it helps you out also.

I knew that positive thinking thing wouldn't work. |
