grr ive got my roadworthy inspection tomorrow and the last little thing is gonna stop me getting the car on the road:
the problem is that the hazard lights dont work, when I switch them on a get a buzzing coming from the indicator (turn signal) relay/flasher. The indicators work fine and the indicator lamp on the dash comes on solid when I press the hazard switch. No problem, I thought, ill just replace the relay. The one in the car originally is a Tridon EP-30 and I replaced it with a Tridon EP-35 because that was the most similar thing I can find.
Now the behavior is different but no better: left indicator works fine, right indicator goes too fast and the hazards dont work at all grrr! Has anyone had this problem before or knows the right part or even if im in the right ballpark with the original problem?? Id really NEED to fix it quick because I want to cruise around in my porsche legally!!
Im thinking even rig something up temporarily to make the hazards work??
Thanks guys... _________________ 1979 931 with a 350 chev

Thanks Frank however the problem was a very strangely wired heater/fan control unit. The heater controls were shorting to ground via the radio bracket and blowing the hazard fuse.
The heater was wired to constant 12V+ and shared a fuse with the hazards. So when the hazard switch was activated, some volatge was going to the short and some was going to the flasher relay which was bouncing because there wasnt enough current to make it flash properly.
Im glad people read the old posts! _________________ 1979 931 with a 350 chev
