Hi All

I was going to replace my oil pump spring and piston because my pressure light comes on at idle, but the dealer's computer said it was no longer available. Several of the aftermarket suppliers of Porsche parts I use can't get it either for some reason. One company said that might be able to order it from the factor in Germany but it would take a minimum of 3 to 4 weeks if they can get it. Huh! So, if anybody has purchased one recently or knows where I can get it let me know pleeese....!

This won't help much, but my local Porsche dealer ordered one in for me (from Germany) about 2 months ago. Arrived within 10 days and still cost all of A$10. I would suggest that any Porsche dealer should be able to order one in, but I don't know how it works over there.

Thanks for the good info guys. I think price was the big factor when the parts guy said it was not available anymore, as he probably would have said he could order it if was say a $100.00 part instead of a $1.00 part. Hopefully it will give me a little more pressure as this looks to be a common problem area on this car....
