This is to answer Lars question about brand loyality on gaskets.
I honestly don't know whether Goetze or Victor Reinz is OEM.
Goetze is German and from the 924 sets I have the gaskets look really good. I'm impressed with how the headgasket is vacum sealed in its own pouch, almost as if there is a coating on it that needs to be out of the air until installed. It might be to keep it from rusting.
I'm going to take some pics of the Victor 931 head gasket, the 939 head gakset and the new Goetze NA head gasket. if someone has new or old gaskets from other makers, send me the pics so I can start a comparison file which will be posted on the website.
I was told the that the 924NA set was superceded and now is shipped with the 931 headgasket design. But I have no way of telling without calling some suppliers locally to find out by actual observation.
