Had to call the RAC at 12:30 AM. Took the guy 40 minutes or so to figure out it was a fuse blown. An 8 amp one on the horizontal board.

Are there anymore spares I need to carry?

i carry an assortment of spare fuses, a full set of spare relays, couple of spare belts, some electrical conectors and tape, bit of wire, and small set of tools , a voltmeter, and a roll of duct tape...more on long trips... but i try to keep it light, if found if i cant fix it with the above, its generally beyond a roadside repair anyhow...

That's what I'd got in mind. Those relays can be expensive though. I've ordered a fuel relay (GBP 3 and loads of fuses. I already had a small toolkit and a haynes in the boot.

I need to have the bushes done pretty sharpish, then it needs a bit of a tune up, both of which are beyond my skills, so cash is pretty tight right now.

It seems to go with owning the car though. No regrets here

i collected most of my spare relays from junk cars.. they either work or they dont for the most part.. so i just grab them when i can, test them, and if they work, they go in the spares pile...

The problem over here is that all the cars in breakers yards have already been stripped. There's quite a few specialist Porsche breakers with 924's and 944's, but they know the value of the parts, and want a reasonable amount for parts. £15-25 + 17.5% VAT for relays.

I knew it wasn't going to be a low cost car though.
