|
|
Hey, any of you New England residents interested in organizing a springtime get-together???
I'm recently fulfilling my dream of breaking into the Porsche-ownership world and would love to get together with other owners to compare rides and talk about these vehicles, life, etc....That might sound passe to some of you longtime owners, but keep in mind that every day is a beginning for somebody.
Anyway, I live about an hour north of Springfield, Massachusetts - straight up 202 in the Quabbin area. Anybody interested??? _________________ 1987 924S - Was a daily driver...now it's GONE! *sniff*

A 924 is not a real Porsche and we never socialize with anyone who ones one. Two maybe. _________________ "Never let them see you sweat"

I bet Dan and Nick would be interested.
The Conn. region of PCA does an event at Smith&Wesson. An auto-x every now and then. Might be a good place to meet. Or the Fort Devins event. It would be cool to have a bunch of 924s there.
Mine is currently off the road until I establish a new base of opperations. I am now in an apartment. My 1982 is stored and the 1980 is up for sale.

Eric I know exactly what you mean, I am in an apartment too, but I am able to keep my 928S on the road and the 924 is running but is stored at my rents _________________ 3 928s, |

Hey, I'm in New England.
I don't know if my car will running by then...but I'd love to meet some of you people who actually drive one!
Not sure how keen the rents would be with me getting together with a bunch of guys I know from forums, but that's what negociations are for!
I'd be interested.

The S+W autocrosses were cancelled, I guess they didn't want us using their parking lot anymore. Bummer on the apartment, did you get the money I sent you? _________________ Dan Flanagan--2002 VW Jetta TDI, 83 Mercedes 300D,83 Mercedes Euro-240D |

You live in MA. That stands for Miami. You aren't even close to New England. |

You would think so, but I guess not. You live in Miami or in the Mississippi Alps, I'm not sure which.
New England is nice, I've been to Boston twice on school trips. And yes the Sox won all 3 games that I saw. |

I'm up in Maine and would love to get together with a few of you guys.
The 24 should be up and running in a few weeks. The 31, (when ever that's running again), rarely goes far from town.
Come on Eric, pull her out of storage... I was hoping I could see her when I went down there, but.... *wiping tear from eye*.... she was no-where to be seen. _________________ 81' 931 |

Well she is on minimal insurance ... just enough to keep her covered but I can not drive it. Shhhhhh do not tell. I drove it for a week that way. Damn glad I did not hit anything or anyone
She is also at the rents. In NH, in a nice warm garage.... she does not want to come out and play yet.
If there is a get together make it closer to summer and she will be prowling the roads again. Might even have a surprise by then.
Maybe.
Oh Dan yeah I got it and the sun roof panel is up in NH with the 1982. Safe and sound in the back hatch.
Arron how is the engine?
