Picking up my new gt kitted turbo on tuesday.
With regards installing an intercooler, fabricating a top mount cooler seems like a lot of work. Is there anywhere else it would fit, without doing a headlight conversion(the gts I understand was only made in left hand drive so don't want to take the 'no such car route' !
Also, what other mods would you recommend to get the engine breathing freely.
Gonna get a k&n filter, 270(possibly higher) cam, lightweight flywheel.
Is the audi 5 cylinder throttle body applicable on the turbo?
Will be using the new girl for track days firstly, then when I get my licence, hopefully in the northern saloons(UK) |

for intercooler no matter what you do you are looking at alot of fabbing, however the options are
#1 top mounted like the CGT using a RX7 core,
#2 front mounted IC like the 951, alot of tubing and going around the fuel dizzy,
#3 a air water IC sitting in the battery tray, but you have to relocate the battery to the back of the car
as per the throttle body, no alterations can be made unless you fab up custom tubing to it. but you can get a 81-82 chartge tube and throttle body as they use only 1 butterfly valve in there _________________ 3 928s, |
