Can anyone suggest a source for the woven cloth covered vacuum lines on my 81' 931. Very old, very dry and brittle. Hope to be running soon.

Go to a parts store and buy standard 5/32" (I THINK thats the right size, but I could be wrong) rubber vacuum hose, it'll take a lot more than that woven S*it

I agree, sems that current woven s^&* doesn't last longer than two years.

If you insist on the woven, try Wurth as a supplier . I haven't tried thier hose but it should be of euro origin and not the crap that you get at the local parts store

Try a VW repair shop. You could also try calling a hose supplier. I've ahd good luck with both.
