Here is a shot of the door pads I made for my 924. You can't really see it in the pic..but the mirror control is gone and in it's place are AVI tweets.

Looks good. Your www. link isn't working.
I saw the car in the other thread and Wow! If the car had a skirt, I would ask it for it's phone number! |

Did you have any difficulty replacing the vinyl on the door panels? It looks like maybe you added some padding. Everything sure looks good. How do you like the speaker placement?
Until Neil gets past this, be sure you've got a locking gas cap. |

hmmm...not sure whats up with the pics....maybe the host for the pics are only temporary?
I had to re make the backing because the old cardboard was falling apart after 25 years. I made it out of 1/8 plywood. The top part was then blind stapeled to the new bottoms. I took them to my upholstry guy and he covered them. I am not at all happy with the way they turned out. He had put 1/2 foam as a backing before the vinyl....and there are alot of "gathers" near the top edge. I am hoping the hot sun with heat it up and allow it to relax over time.
I'll tell you how I like the speaker placement in a couple of days...I have a buddy coming over to wire the stereo in. _________________ 1976 924

I made an exact copy of the original door pads and used the same retainer clips. _________________ 1976 924

I am impressed by the level/amount of work that went into the car to make it what it is. Job well done,
now when I get my 931 chassis with my 928 engine in it, wanna meet halfway and have a race come on I will only have a bi turbo setup on mine. _________________ 3 928s, |
