Here are some of the pics of my car more near completion....the engine is now running BARKING!! Waiting for seats and wiring. I also am doing the 5 bolt conversion and throwing out the wheel adapters! Before ya all jump all over me...Yes I am lifting the front end..I have a set of mustang springs going in.

| car looks great . you have a brake vac booster , is it the stock 924 booster or from another make of car . how much clearence is between the booster and the valve cover , any chance of the engine moving under load and hitting the booster . |

wdb...The valve cover clearence is tight!!! You almost need a feeler gauge to measure it! It is about 1/4 inch. But when the engine torques it tips up and away from it instead of down towards it. Here is a couple pics of how close it is. Notice the notch I had to take out of the strut tower to make room for the brake line. I moved it so far over and the brake fluid res. only clears the hood by a fraction as well.

Extremly clean install!! Almost too clean. Makes it hard to appreciate the amount of work involved

have you considered contacting some of the car magazines and/or tv shows . I would love to see and hear your car up against a few newer cars on track and make the corvette owner cry like a girly man . |

| oh I forgot , what make and size engine is it .I dont see an air bleed in the cooling sysytem , if you dont have 1 yet , you could probably just weld an aluminum nut to the top of the thermistat housing and plug it with a bolt and rubber washer . or weld an aluminum radiator filler neck to the top of the therm housing , that would allow the water expansion and refill when cooled .a radiator shop could do it , easy . |

I don't know where I am going to put the plate..I think I will be building a piece out of fiberglass to fit the contour of the rear valance and hold the plate perpendicular as should be. I couldn't bring my self to putting it on with a couple of dry wall screws.
wdb...I am going to send hot rod magizine a few pics in the spring once I get it on the road and have the interior in. It's not really that great of quality work. Pictures do it justice. The bodywork and paint is really good tho. Looks awsome in the sun. The engine is a 67 chev 327.
I am using an aftermarket 3 core aluminum rad with an electric fan ...although you gave me a good idea. I have to build a new water neck/thermostat housing because I had the one on the car cut and welded to fit under the hood...when it was welded..what we thought was aluminum ended up being ans alloy of some kind and it made a weak porus weld. Anyway...the problem I forsee is the engine getting air lock with the rad cap filler below the highest point of the cooling system. So I am thinking of having a bleeder right on the water neck housing.
BTW there are more pics in V8 topic thread. _________________ 1976 924
