Jamez and I took the V8 924 to the scales today.
Weight was 2640 lbs
1360 lbs front
1280 lbs rear
that makes a 51.5F/48.5R weight distribution... pretty ####' good I'd say
That's just for all the nay sayers who think the V8 will mess up the weight distribution... |

Where are all the outspoken Nay-sayers when the evidence is in front of them. _________________ 1976 924

I have never doubted puting a v8 in a 924. Rock on!
Now imagine an LS1 in there, more power, and less front weight. w00t _________________ My Old Porsche Thats Sold

An LS1 would be bad ass. it is a very expensive motor though, plus it's intake is taller than the LT1's, so I don't think you could fit it under the hood. besides, its not hard to get 400 rwhp in an LT1. |

Hi Darin,
The LT1/v8 you used, did it have aluminum heads and any other weight saving on the engine and how much did the engine weigh in at?
I'm seriously looking at the swap for my 931.

im impressed!! thats far better than i wouldve of expected... the difference is so small it could probably even be compensated for with a 'glass front clip if one so desired..but im guessing its not even necessary.. thats a good bit of info , thanks for posting it!. _________________ Eric
