A buddy and I are thinking about the Chevy V8 into a 924 transplant. We are thinking of using the stock 924 tranny, but are wondering what the weak links are in the tranny.
Thanks in advance... _________________ Take'Er Eazy |

if you want to drop a V8 into a 924 you will want to convert to a 951 tranny preferably, or a 944/931 tranny, I wouldnt use the 924 tranny as it wont be able to take the power the V8 outputs, RTFAQ (read the frequently asked questions) as well. _________________ 3 928s, |

I will be the one to tell you if can stand the power or not as I am using the stock tranny. I have yet to hear from anyone to use the stock tranny and torques tube to say they tore it up.! So thus far I think it is assumtion. _________________ 1976 924
