as per the timing belt tensioner, the tool is a vw tool, you can buy it for about $12 at a local store hardly worth messing about and trying to fab one for that little amount.

The first one is listed for my car and the second one is listed for an '80 924T. The one on my car now as well as my spare are like the second one. Pretty generic and boring now that I've seen the Rube Goldberg of distributor rotors.

PelicanParts has a rev limiting version under early ('74-'77) 911 parts. It may or may not cut out at the same rpm, but it looks the same as yours -

Pelican part number = C-602-928-00

Here we go, I finally got my photos from this weekend up on my site. Took a while to get the server straightened out. The newer photos begin on page 3.

Thanks. Some pictures always seem to "spruce up" a visit to the ole 924Board, huh? I can't share with performance mods, but I can share my rebuild experience. Hopefully others can learn something too. Thats what this place is all about.

When I get the motor back in the car, I'm going to post a photo album that has parts locations identified. Over the past couple of years I note that many new folks appear on the Board and ask "where is <this> and where is <that>". It might be a good overall reference to have "out there" for the new guys & gals to refer to.

If I wasn't concerned about matters, I'd post all of the Factory Manuals on the site, but I'm not sure I want to get caught doing that. Even the chapters I do have "out there" may get me in trouble if word "gets out" beyond this Board.

I'm off on a week-long ski trip (Keystone, Vail, Breckenridge) starting this weekend , so it'll be a while until I get some more work done and back in touch here. Y'all have a good week/ten days...

Yah I thank CMXXXI for the pics too, not really learning anything new but definatly fun to look at, when I work I get too involved (workaholich) and forget to take photos, sorry but I think for the engine install I am either going to bring a friend with me to just take photos, or see if Kenodogs gf will be home to do that,
