I just saw a low mileage 924 Turbo for sale (1980) and decided on a whim to go take a look at it tomorrow morning - is there anything in partcular I should be looking for? I think GTPP or 911&PW did a buyers guide on this model recently but typically I cant find the issue now I need it! As it's a 1980 - would this be a Turbo 1 or Turbo II? Any advice welcome. Thanks in advance! Sorry for the cross posting General Discussion.

1980 924 turbo is a series 1. key things to look for are: battery box (underneth the battery box rust not a major problem will just be some sheetmetal and bodywork to repair) shift the transmission through all gears syncros are known to go bad in these cars (especially 2nd gear) Look underneth the dash at the fuse box. look for jerry rigged wiring especially the relays, missing relays with jumper wires in them (fuel pump relays cost around 80-90 dollars US.) Off the top of my head thats what comes first in my mind don't let little problems sway your purchase. I'm happy with my porsche Older cars just take money to keep them on the road. Good luck hope this post helps!

Its actualy modeled after the bell 407 its an OH 58 D (R) Kiowa Warrior. It's basically your average news or police chopper with a little more pep and armament. The little Ball on top is acually a Thermal Imagine sight and high power TV and lazer. It's a very cheap and extremely effective recon helicopter.
