I am tucking some large, shallow offset wheels under my car and want to know if anyone has advice on flaring the fenders. I don't want 944 or fiberglass parts. I want to flare the current fenders 1.5". I am considering getting one of those autobody tool kits with the curved metal pieces and such. I also saw on an Acura site that you can use a baseball bat. However, I think the Porsche sheet metal is too thick for the bat idea.
Any ideas from the group?

Well, I got about 1" of extra space under one rear fender using a scissor jack and baseball bat. The back is difficult because the lip is actually the fender and the wheelwell weld seam. If I can dial in as much negative camber as Vaughan suggests, the wheels should fit. The front is single ply steel, so it should be much easier to mold.
I will post pics when I get them done.
