anyone running scca production,? Seems like they need more cars and that they are making some limited prep areas for certain cars; the 924 production cars run in e production which is unlimited for engine prep except carb size, really expensive , maybe if folks were interested a limited area might allow lightened cars with less prep ie lower compression longer lasting engines, would be a lot of fun,and you could use the lighter hood, rear hatch and nicer loking bumpers etc imitating the look of the old dp cars without a high dollar engine that has to be rebuilt midseason _________________ jesse wall 'new driver' , 87 924s |

The idea of thinking of Prod as "fun" sounds like a sick sense of humour to me. Hang out on the Production chat rooms, see what they have going on, and see if you wish to be a part of that. I doubt it. Highly political. _________________ Vaughan Scott

You are probably right about the politics , but nobody is running ,the classes only have 2 or three cars down here and they really want more cars, it may be once yu get in things would get very political , I don,t know squat have not been in first race yet just got a novice permit and an its car, buy the way it is black with white skunk stripes , 41 looks alittle like a certain 924 you know , I guess imitation etc. ect. anyway there does not seem to have been a 924 procuction car for quite a while , they look great with different bumpers and allowed flares,if we do one it will be just for the fun of it and the looks of a 924 production car is a lot of the fun ,if we can go g production will not be able to do much more to motor than its so will be mostly body and weight ala 944 cup , would probably be able to get 2 nd or 3 rd in class if finish because thats all that would be there. keep you posted Jesse, ps car is on jack stands getting new 5 lug brakes etc so just at the dream stage _________________ jesse wall 'new driver' , 87 924s |

It's because they are unlikely to be competitive! Doesn't the 944 race in EP too?
As far as low turnout - do you choose where you race because of sympathy, out of feeling sorry for the organizers because they're offering a package no-one wants to take them up on, or because there's lots of people you'll have a chance to have a real fun time racing with? That's why I'm in ITA!
Check it out, NASA VA Region has just added GTS Challenge to it's lineup:

We will be running at VIR the first weekend in August. I won't make it (it's a bit far! ) but there's already a number of GTS3,4, and GTSU cars signed up. You can also find NASA VA info on their website:
