Well hey, we can't be that far off the mark if we're getting that degree of parity in the results! Tradeoff of BMW speed vs Porsche reliability?

(I'm probably gonna get slapped by all the P-car guys for that one... LOL)

The Bimmers will close the gap in manufacturing points this weekend. The 29 point gap will shrink to within 10. If the put 944Cup in GTS2, Bimmers could come away from Summit with the lead.

I will just try to keep up with all those quick Bimmers out there. I am a brand new NASA guy racing VIR as my first NASA race in my daily driver. Should be a fun time co existing with the BMW crowd.

Well, Mark was partially right -- with only two Porsches out of 10 GTS Challenge racers, BMW did improve it's points position at Summit.

Let's go P-cars and sign up for Gingerman now and show the Bimmers who's the real king of the track!!!

What was once a huge lead in the mfr points for Porsche is now less than a dozen. On the heels of BMW taking the mfr points lead in F1, we are now poised to take the lead in GTS Challenge!!!!

Well let's see now.... in June Porsche leads by 20 points. In September Porsche leads by 15 points. Maybe if we extend the season to December BMW could draw even with Porsche

Let's go Porsche drivers!!

Director predictions -- Joe Mag wins in GTSU after facing tough competion from the two very fast Bimmers. Porsches 1,2,3 in GTS4 with no Bimmers in sight. GTS3 is up to Marty Okun in his 911 or Chris Krauser to upset the dominate M3's. GTS2 finds another Porsche win for Voss and Mauer picking up more points. If Audi wins in GTS2, those points count for Porsche because Audi is really just a Porsche sedan -- just ask Ferdinand Piech!! And GTS1 is all Porsche.

Well, there are at least 2 new GTSU BMW cars coming to play with you P-cars....

Jack Money (who asked for Mid Ohio times earlier) has the faster car as of last year... well, for sure it had a better driver than my car.....

But the two of us plan to put on a show for everyone since my car should be a bit quicker, and he has to learn that car coming out of one with......what, say 100 more now, and similar weight!

We'll have to look at old races to see what the bench marks look like....

Alex.

Excellent!!! I've been waiting for the BMW's to step up to the plate and hit GTSU. We've got 2 GTSU P-cars signed up for Mid-O this weekend, so, unless it stays cold, you should get some sort of benchmark in a few days!

I would like to point out the all Porsche finish in GTS2 at Mid-O. That's a pretty thin showing from our Munchen brethern.

So who runs 1:36's at Mid O then? That's certainly below the potential of my car but we'll have to see if I can drive it to the 1:34's.

Any Porsches in that range? ; )

Hi Jack
So when are we going to see you at a GTS Challenge event?

But you better be careful, there was a Porsche turning laps in the 1:30's this weekend.

I'll give one up for the bmw. I drive around in an 89 e30 325i...but the damn thing is an auto. I replaced the cylinder head due to broken timing belt. Man that thing was fun work on!
