If you do the work yourself, just the price of parts
and what ever other work needs done
So thats bearings,gaskets,degreaser.
Acouple hundred bucks (200.00)
and maybe a hundred to the
machine shop for checken
the condition of the block.
for parts look at the parts
bin. Hope I could be of help..

Take the time and money to have a qualified engine shop do a complete tear down. We did that and we have not had any problems in 6 race/school weekends so far. The engine is so reliable and we just check for oil between sessions sometimes. I assume your car has the great brakes? if not you should look into finding a 924S or early 944 to get their brakes. If it comes with a roll cage make sure it's SCCA IT and NASA legal if you plan on running in that area. If you run SCCA IT, the carbs are not legal. but are legal in E Production.
