I'd think of a new 1,9 TDI engine from VW or something. It is not as strong originally, but it can be pushed. I know of a guy in Sweden who worked on that motor and ended up with ~300 HP, and you can just imagine the torque in that. Pretty amazing with a 1,9 TDI. So it has potential. Tho, needed to be a new diesel engine then, not with that chamber method stuff. So why not try diesel, it would be cool! Anybody interested in the methods he used contact me
