I figured out (to an extent) what my problem was before. I had the Mixture too lean, and I guess the Abacus was trying to fight it, which is why the idle would bounce up and down. So i ended up disconnecting the O2 sensor.
But then on a whim I connected the O2 back, and enriched the mixture a 1/4 turn (which is a lot) the idle stopped fluctuating and stabilized Huh....Ok guess that fixed that!
Now the car is running sorta ok, I decide to go for a drive for little over an hour, and half way through, after a few full boost runs, NOW its going to rich at tip in ( 9's A/F), making acceleration from a stop sluggish, but it also does it when cruising at close throttle, and I open the throttle to accelerate and the A/F go to the 9's before coming back to normal.
BUT I half figured it out! I noticed the FV was just barely working, but when I opened the throttle slightly, It would come on more. SO, I disconnected the throttle "sensor" and immediately the RPM's went up about 500, (I turned the idle back down) got in the car and revved the engine, and NO A/F dip!! and the FV was running "normally" so that kind of fixed the problem.... but why? WTF???
and after a couple minutes of running with the TPS disconnected the RPM's settled down. Then I plugged the TPS back in and now things seem back to "normal" (for now)
Obviously the Closed throttle switch is working (S2 version) but what happens when you open the throttle, thats making it go way rich??
what do you guys think??? _________________ It was either this or a giant box of legos |

I was always under the impression that the first switch step was to disable closed-loop lambda control, since that mean's the car's not just sitting there idling... but that was only a guess, I think. _________________ Vaughan Scott
