Test test

I’m getting a forbidden message, a captcha, and some page about my IP is blocked..

Seems like it’s not liking me posting multiple pics in one post?
It’s letting me edit them in one at a time? But not all at once..

Ok there we go..
Maybe it was just the little link at the end that imgbb puts on there

Not sure what I’m going to do with it..

Doesn’t run, “spark to middle of distributor but not out of distributor”..
Told him he shouldn’t be cranking it over at all..

For all I know it has a crashed head.. I didn’t even crank it over..

Dang good shape though! Couple little dings..
Think it was repainted.. Clear going bad in a couple places and chipping on sunroof..

Seats are nice but very stiff.. Thinking about a product to restore their fabrics ductility..

Rear hatch is like absolutely perfect, NO separation, 3rd brake light, wiper, spoiler is like mint..

I SHOULD part it.. But you know..

No title, bill of sale, friend of a friend of a friend..
The guy I bought it from is a wealthy business owner with $300,000 of very nice cars in his yard, and a VERY nice shop with a lift etc.. So I’m not worried about it being stolen or whatever..

Yes it’s cosmetically in quite good condition..

The paint is pretty good other than a couple spots here and there..
Must be a repaint because their is a bit of orange peel on the nose..
Engine bay looks repainted or super clean..
Engine super clean..

They said they have been trying to get it to run but no spark out of the distributor even though their is spark from the coil into the distributor..

I didn’t crank it over at all, but will probably do a compression test on it as a main priority..

The hatch is the best I’ve ever seen in person on any 24-68 car..
Absolutely NO separation and has wiper and 3rd brake light..
That has to be worth something..

It definitely looks worth saving; hopefully the title situation isn't too big a deal. I was able to get mine with a bill of sale, VIN inspection, and some paperwork and a processing fee. Took over three months though... I may lean a little too much in the "I'll save anything" territory, but this thing looks like less work than my very straight 300D project, and waaaay less than my 931. If you can get it running and there aren't any major mechanical or structural issues, I'd go that way and hopefully find it a good home. It just seems like a shame to part such a straight and complete car...

Holy crap guys..

It’s got broken safety glass all over in the back wells under the carpet..
I think it’s had its hatch replaced with a new one at some point in time..

Has the air compressor even with the gloves..

And I think it’s an 86 or 87..

The more I look at it the nicer it is..

Editing…

https://vinanalytics.com/checkvin/?vin=WP0AB0943HN470171

Says it’s an 87..

Options..

C67 Digital Dash

154 CONTROL UNIT ENGINE FOR IMPROVED EMISSION RESULTS (ugh)

341 CENTRAL LOCKING SYSTEM

404 FRONT AND REAR SWAY BARS

418 SIDE MOLDINGS

454 CRUISE CONTRO

650 REMOVEABLE SUN ROOF

946 SEAT COVERS FRONT - LEATHER/LEATHER/LEATHERETTE

Well.. Nothing super interesting there other than digital dash? and leather front seats?
Guessing not full leather.. Centers not leather?

LY5Z Nautic (Ocean Blue) Metalic

Be nice if it had some more interesting options, but at least it doesn't have the one must-not-have: autotragic transmission! Columbo would say the condition of the hatch combined with the broken glass just might mean it was replaced... I think I'm done adding to my collection for now: got enough projects to keep me busy for years, plus the plans I have for the ones I'm currently driving. But then, it's kind of like adopting a foster child: yeah, there's probably a better home they could go to, but you know there are others that would just ruin them...

Options C67, 154, 341, 404, 418 are all standard fare of the update model (post 85.5); whilst cruise and leather are nice and real options. Most German export models had the sunroof option as a default. You had to specifically order a non-sunroof model!
It's a really nice and clean car that deserves to be saved AND TITLED.
And they make great daily drivers!
Built 7/86 should make it an '86 model.

No!

I mostly wanted the front right fender, headlight cover, right door, fog lights, front marker light, and windshield, for the 941.. Maybe the hatch.. (I have it’s roof and RR quarter fixed pretty nice, figured I’d replace the fender and door)

Maybe the seats and carpets for my brown car.. Maybe a better wiper motor and door handles.. Random parts..

And thought it had early offset aluminum rear trailing arms I could use (85.5), but it does not..

I did not have the intention of fixing it at all, and did absolutely nothing to inspect the condition of the engine other than check the oil and coolant, which look great..
Guy said it turns over, but I know it’s WAY past it’s Tbelt service, so I didn’t even crank it once, and mouse damage to wiring and vacuum lines under the hood are quite obvious..

I would have bought it with a known blown/crashed engine/trans, or no engine/trans at all.. Didn’t care about the title..

Saw the clean fender and door I’ve been looking for, enough other nice parts to ROI, sold..

Was delivered last night just before dark..
Lot of mouse poops but it isn’t wet inside..

I'm assuming the car has blown rubber clutch disk center too, since the engine drive does not connect to the rear wheels in any gear..

Therefore I'm assuming the clutch disk is what put this car down, and then some people messing with it bent the valves trying to get it to run..
