Congrats on finding a project. Pix when you have time.

Be sure the replacement tank gets cleaned, inspected and maybe a liner put in before you install.

Thanks everyone!

Can someone please point me to a thread on how to replace those crappy rubber hoses are above the coolant tank? They have a robust plastic interior but the rubber is ripping apart. I want to get replacement hoses ordered ASAP.

Video of it starting up: https://imgur.com/a/68toUxN

It was rigged to suck gas up from a juice container so it wasn't idling super well, but started without problems.

Nice looking!

Those hoses are for the fuel injection and the outside rubber sheath that is all cracked is there to protect the plastic/nylon (?) hoses that actually carry the fuel. For a temp fix, you can take the correct diameter hose for windshield washers fluid, split it down the middle and slip it over the plastic/nylon hoses to protect them. Turn the hose so the split is down so it won't get wet and retain fluids. It's sort of a McGuiver way to fix the problem until your ready to replace them all. Mine looked the same when I first got my car and I was going to replace them all but this trick gave me some time to investigate cost/source for the hoses.

You could also look into buying the braided version from an earlier model maybe. I've never looked into it myself but assuming they would fit the same. ?

Maybe someone who's actually replaced theirs can chime in and help on cost/sourcing. I never did replace mine because they worked and I had other items on my "must have" list that took priority. It it ain't broke...

Excellent, thanks. I think I'll use D Hook's MacGyver trick unless/until it becomes urgent, then I'll look into the "cohline" option.

I don't have a picture but the hood liner is in pretty rough shape. I found that 928 motorsports has an option, we'll see how much shipping to Canada comes out to. Anyone have other recommendations?

I would really appreciate some tips and tricks on how to find replacement parts. Is it just hours of digging online? Googling around usually leads to an old, broken link on this forum. The parts catalog is easy to get to, but how do you end up putting those part numbers to use, since OEM parts are usually NLA?
