So, I obtained the shelf (477 857 836 01C), but I am not really seeing how it mounts up. Anyone have one of these puppies installed? I know the right side mounts go into the body, but I can't tell how the left side is supposed to attach.

Pics greatly appreciated!

TIA

Suck it up Nancy.

Actually I won't be home tonight, but I'll try to take some pictures before I head to bed tonight and post them for all to see.

And/or you can drop by this weekend (since apparently we're going to the balloon festival on Friday)...

Thanks.

Awesome photos, thanks so much.

Question about that pot metal bracket. I can see two pieces, are they welded together?

Thanks again!

Yep, it is held together by three spot welds.
It is roughly;
w = 12mm,
l =65mm,
h = 20mm.
Cheers!

Wow, that's a good picture. Is it from a non AC car?

I'm gonna laugh at myself if I look under there and the answer is that obvious.

AC was removed at some point.

I also figured out that it's much easier to remove/install that shelf if you remove the glove box first to see everything and access the screws.

So, in my own defense, the 924S does not have that piece! There is a brace there, but no mounts for the package shelf.

Anybody got that piece laying around they could sell me?

Otherwise, I'll fab one. Harm sent me some great pictures on gridded paper. . .
