Finally got a darn ticket..
Same dick that accused me of running from him last year.. Always says he saw me “spin my tires”, but I don’t go around “spinning my tires”..
Wrote me up for rolling through a stop sign, which I did.. But ill be darned if this car will spin its tires rolling through a stop sign in 2nd gear.. Thing only makes like 30hp in the bottom of 2nd gear.. Wont spin until like 3k or so, which I did not..
Expired plates, no registration paper, “spinning tires”, 68 in a 55 supposedly, rolling through a stop sign..
Surprised he didn’t also accuse me of being back on taxes..
Grrr.....
Need to fix my speedo cable... _________________ 80 Turbo - Slightly Modified |

Got a nail in my tire..
Noticed fuel accumulator is dripping a little.. Thinking about bypassing it, also getting close to time to retire it for the winter.. _________________ 80 Turbo - Slightly Modified |

Not sure how much, something like BOO/ST, but very nice in the mid 11s.. Probably close to 25?
Up a big hill from the bottom of 4th trying to put load on it, kinda chilly out..

No signs of running out of fuel yet..
Few thousand miles on it.. Thing works.. _________________ 80 Turbo - Slightly Modified

Ya something..
I have honestly been beating on this thing at atleast 18psi and up all summer, driving it everywhere from just across town to hundred mile trips.. From packing it to the max to go camping and getting stuck on 2-tracks, to flying down the highway..
I boost all the time just to blow off when I shift.. I slow down while cruising just to pull on it again.. I floor it constantly.. I am not nice to it or baby it in any way..
Car has been great, starts every time, dead nuts reliable other than blowing IC hoses a couple times and my alt exciter wire coming apart once, which are both my fault really.. And ripping my throttle cable off like 3 times because I’ve been too lazy to make a stop for the pedal, but zip ties always get me home..
Blew the oil filter off twice somehow and now have it clamped in place..
Still on cut up radiator hoses for IC plumbing and an OEM head gasket..
Even the darn turbocharger is just a bunch of parts I put together from atleast 3 donor turbos in my bedroom.. Not machine balanced.. Still works..
My wastegate diaphragm is painted with black permatex with a layer of paper towel as reinforcement for gods sake..
Damn thing will not blow up.. _________________ 80 Turbo - Slightly Modified |

Great to hear that this setup you cooked up works so well.
Like i said, if i was doing a higher power 931 i'd be surely copying your setup. _________________ https://www.the924.com |

I think next spring/summer I’m going to work on tidying everything up and turning the car more into a finished product rather than just a prototype..
Little things need fixing, a lot of em though.. I wanna make it all right.. Gonna cost a lot though but it’ll be worth it.. The car is definitely worth it now..
If things go to plan right now I’ll have the money, but maybe not the time.. _________________ 80 Turbo - Slightly Modified |

Not sure why, but it's usually that way, either you have money or time, not both I'm currently out of my (IT) job, so focusing on cars for some time. Damn, it's so much more challenging with car mods, but it gives much more satisfaction as well. Have been following your works for some time, some still on my wish list for my Green 931 _________________ ---

Nice!
Glad you got ahold of Steve, or whoever you got the module coming from..
I better check in on the pelican thread..
I’m pretty darn excited for someone else to try this and report their findings.. Especially someone who is more technically adept than me, as I’m kinda just a ratrod hack, lol..
And no problem at all.. Post whatever you want here.. _________________ 80 Turbo - Slightly Modified |

I have to say this was an amazing shipping experience especially now
Its already here ...now I need to point out I have a bunch of stuff going on behind the scenes with decisions to make and a ton of work to be done between now and Spring. Pretty sure my decision is made into which car receives this system but before the install there are some hurdles. At least I am laying the groundwork now and not in February/March

Damn that's a sexy pic..
Yes, I will allow porn in my thread..
All I can say is- Dude, it's gonna rip..
With a good IC, and if you keep the AFRs down, ya just can't blow it up no matter how hard you (I) try..
I've been running boost gauge buried... No news
It's been cold and wet.. The only thing rebelling is the ground..
It's gonna work..
I took a shot and didn't know it would work.. I just saw it in my mind.. But now I can confidently tell you that it's gonna work..
I'm gonna be gone all winter+.. Like.. If you wanna store my car out of the snow for the winter, I'll give it to you to copy, with the keys..
I'm sure I could depart from O'Hare instead of TC and have no doubt it would make it there..
Really thought, it's not that hard.. If my poor redneck ass pulled it off in a dirt floor shed made of house trailer parts, it should be a breeze to anyone with their own concrete..
Just make me a clean lower charge tube while you're at it _________________ 80 Turbo - Slightly Modified |
