|
|
Good day. 1978 924 approximately 76K on it. Last time it had tabs on it was in 2002 and to my knowledge it hasn't been run since then. It was my dads and he always garaged it. Any.....
Brake pedal went to the floor, noticed that there wasn't any brake fluid in the system so I've spent my time bleeding all 4 corners. Fluid pumps, no air that I can tell, but pedal still goes to the floor. I'm thinking master cylinder but if anyone has any suggestions please let this noob know!
Thanks. |

Much appreciated! Anyone have a good suggestion for a parts source for a Master Brake cylinder for these? I've seen everything from a $75 rebuilt unit to $750 for a new one. Any/all suggestions welcome. Thanks again. |

There was a change to the master cylinder about 78/9, the later ones were larger, also did away with the 2 brake light /fluid level warning light switches on the bottom of the m/cyl. At least on the euro spec cars. Early ones appear to be getting harder to find. _________________ 1984 n/a Ruby Red Metallic

Long shot question here....has anyone here used a part number 171 698 181 L Brake Master Cylinder Repair kit on their 924? I found the number here: http://www.924.org/parts/parts.htm but just trying to see if anyone has any experience with that part number. Thanks in advance. _________________ 1978 924 N/A |

Hey all. I found a repair kit online with a part number that ends in a "-181H".
The one on the 924.org parts page is a "-181L".
What does the alpha character in the Part Number denote? Some sort of upgrade/downgrade?
Thanks in advance. _________________ 1978 924 N/A |
