The turbo on my S1 is a K26-2664G4.10 and has the # "5326 970 6407". What exactly does that mean? I didn't see it on your list.

It's right there in the OP..

The earlier US 931 turbo..

The "5326 970 6407" is like a complete turbo part number with the last number being a revision number, I think..

The S1 turbos are 5326 970 640X iirc they are not all 7s.. Probably something to do with the turbine housing revisions from flat gaskets to the metal ring gaskets or something.. But I don't really know..

My bad, I should've said I saw the K26 number, but not the part number.

Hey!!

Some of those PDF's links died in the OP but I just remembereed I uploaded them and they are still available here..

Most importantly "Borg Warner (kkk) turbo parts.pdf" is the big beast of part numbers..

Just a quick question.
Other than color is there any other distinction between red ID tags and blue ID tags?

I think blue tags are factory original, or factory rebuilds, and red tags are aftermarket rebuilds..

Can you then decipher this?
Red Tag

5326 970 6407

US S1 Turbo 1979-1980 , the bigger OEM one, "2664" compressor, 6407 so likely has the updated turbine housing for sealing with the metal rings instead of the old flat gaskets..
Good for 1 bar..
Red tag so it has been rebuilt by some shop..

Very interesting and thank you.
I saw that it should be a series 1 but I wanted to make sure as it came off of the '81 that I'm parting out.
Again, thank you for your confirmation!

Fasteddie........in your long list of turbos, is there anywhere that will tell me what a 5327 101 5060 cold side compressor is?

It's large in size (barely fitting between the block and framerail) and mated to a 951 middle with a 5326 101 6365 924T hotside.

Cheers Pete

Compressor housing numbers are the hardest to back trace.. not many things list housing numbers..

Maybe call Borg Warner and ask?

Other than that this is the good one that was dropped from its online host..

Seems to be some confusing reports here, are you really sure its the compressor part number?

I cant find anything in the software, however a googling came up with this: https://skif-turbo.com.ua/p592195851-vosstanovlennaya-turbina-k27.html , some of the alternative part numbers there could be found in the system.

You could easily verify it and see if the compressor wheel have outer diamter of 76mm in small diamtere of ca 45 mm. Its not as big as you think it is (flow wise) because it has a really small inlet, so it doesnt flow that much (smaller than a 951S compressor), but small inlet diameter and large wheels are the recepie for efficiency at really high boost pressure. Which this is designed for since it normally comes from different kind of trucks. ship engines, genset etc. It seems to be coming from the seventies based on the applications where it was first released, so maybe not the state of the art today

Im not sure this is compressor is the most optimum way to go, what are you gonna use it for?

This setup was made up by Majestic Turbos in the USA some 8-10 years ago.

There are no tags on it apart from casting numbers on the various housings, and yes, 5327 101 5060 is cast on the cold side housing. Hose sizes on that housing are: inlet: 70mm OD/55mm ID and outlet: 50mm OD/40mm ID.

It is currently on my car and is way more responsive than the previous 6.10.
