Good question.
Looks like the entire section has been altered.

Threads in the Wanted/For Sale forum get automatically deleted 90 days after the last post. So if there are no replies for 90 days it gets deleted.

The General forum would be a better place for the Craigslist Find of the Day thread then there's no risk of it being deleted.

Peter.

Thanks Peter.
It seems to me that we used to have a bit more activity on the Craigslist thread. I'd guess that there are various reasons for this. Maybe CL just isn't the "go-to" venue any longer as I've also noticed fewer of the cars I normally look for in my local listings as well.

I've found this to be the case local to me -- a ton of folks are apparently using the Facebook Marketplace I guess? I am not on Facebook and why people would want to use it for anything other than sharing garbage opinions is beyond me, but friends send me links all the time.

Craigslist now charges $5 per car post. I think that is the reason for less activity on the site.💰

Ah that's it. I thought I had heard that they were going to do that some time back. Thanks for the info! I guess I'll need to look for other outlets.
